Eight Years ago I started in Ophthalmology, and 9/11/2001 was a day the eyes will never forget.I remember it well, being 2000 miles away the effect of such a disaster was felt all across America. Pt's that came in were weeping, in shock, in fear, and angered. I'll never forget the panic in each pt's face. Most of the day was not checking eye's for disease, yet it was about comforting the American's and reminding them who we are, and how we got here.

Whats keeping me busy-Medflow?

Medflow is dedicated to serving the ophthalmic community. The company has more than 140 combined years of hands-on experience in the ophthalmology industry. There are more than 30,000 patient visits a day being documented, managed, archived and stored using Medflow EMR software in more than 180 client sites. This electronic medical records program is awesome, but its not all easy stuff right now. We have been working on this for over a year and approx. launch of this in the office is toward the last weeks of October 2009. Detailed training starts for 4 employees including myself Aug 20. Each one of the 4 of us are considered expert users, and we will learn every thing about it. Then we (experts) get to train the staff. So needless to say its been fun, crazy, I can't wait to get it over with, but it will be worth it all after we are done, all at the same time.
